Since 1972
In 1972, Juan Amate began modifying radios in Terrassa, Barcelona, trying to get closer to something he could hear in his head but not yet in the room. That pursuit became Amate Electroacústica, and eventually, one of Europe's most respected professional audio manufacturers.
Juan is still here. Still working. The passion that started it, enabling "the beauty, power and nuance of a musical performance to be heard in a more perfect, natural way", is not a founding story. It is the job description.
Today, Amate Audio is recognised in more than 50 countries. The environments change: stadiums, cathedrals, hotel terraces, festival stages, boardrooms across Benelux. What does not change is what Juan started: the obsession with how the sound lands in a venue.
